Preliminary policy — subject to legal review.
Privacy Policy · MaterialsFinder
This Privacy Policy describes how MaterialsFinder (operated by NoBrainer Systems) currently processes information when you use the MaterialsFinder website and related tools. It is an operational description of present practices, not attorney-approved legal advice.
Information we process
- Search terms you enter are processed to return relevant supplier, material, and service results.
- Location you enter (address, city, ZIP, or place name) or coarse location from your device may be used to identify nearby suppliers and estimate distance.
- Device and browser signals and general geographic context may be processed for analytics, security, performance, and abuse prevention.
- Product analytics may record supplier impressions, profile opens, calls, directions clicks, website clicks, quote clicks, Facebook clicks, planner actions, calculator actions, refinements, and search outcomes.
What we do not do
- MaterialsFinder does not sell personal contact lists.
- MaterialsFinder does not sell individual search histories to advertisers.
- Supplier-facing reports use aggregated or supplier-attributed performance data.
- Individual identity is not shared with suppliers unless you intentionally submit a lead or contact request.
Voice search
When browser speech recognition is used, microphone audio is processed by the browser’s speech service. MaterialsFinder does not store microphone audio.
Local identifiers
MaterialsFinder may store local identifiers in your browser (for example localStorage / sessionStorage) such as an anonymous id, a session id, an active search id, internal-test flags, and (for the analytics dashboard) a session-stored access key. These support product function and measurement. They are not used to sell contact lists.
Third-party infrastructure
Depending on configuration, MaterialsFinder may use:
- Google Places (supplier discovery and geocoding)
- Vercel (hosting and serverless APIs)
- Supabase (data storage for product features such as analytics or supplier administration)
- Upstash / Redis-compatible key-value storage when configured for rate limits, legacy stats, or related infrastructure
Those providers process data as needed to provide their services under their own terms.
Retention
We do not publish a fixed retention period in this preliminary policy. Retention may vary by data type, operational need, and legal requirements. Contact us with questions about a specific request.
